Hamburg, Germany – September 16th 2024: In the future, Otto Group Logistics GmbH, formerly Hermes International, will operate under the new brand SupplyX. In this context, the Otto Group will further expand its position as a pioneering logistics service provider for global supply chain management and freight forwarding, as well as a strong partner for B2B customers.
SupplyX is already optimizing supply chain management for a large number of e-commerce and retail companies. The logistics service provider supports the planning, coordination and control of freight flows from the supplier to the end customer. The focus is set on optimizing the performance of supply chains, including the implementation of customer-specific supply chain management strategies in order to maximize customer benefits in the long term.
Expanded range of services: Expert knowledge and digital solutions
“In recent years, we have built up valuable expertise in the areas of freight forwarding, diversification, market entry, new production locations, digitization, customs and sustainability. We are combining this know-how with the growing digital opportunities to offer customers clear added value and a competitive advantage,” says Managing Director Henning Goldmann. “With our rebranding, we are underlining our growing range of services and our future focus. As SupplyX, under the umbrella of the Otto Group, we will continue to expand our growth strategy as a pioneering and innovative logistics player.”
The company will also continue to expand its supply chain services and digital solutions – and thus develop and implement customized solutions for the complex requirements of international supply chains based on modern technologies and data insights.
Creation of a holistic, customer-oriented logistics offering
For the Otto Group, logistics is an important and long-standing business area. With SupplyX, the Otto Group is strengthening its service portfolio. “Excellent customer experiences in retail can only be achieved with strong global logistics. The requirements that companies face in this context are developing quite dynamically. With SupplyX as a strong and innovative partner, we offer holistic and customer-oriented global logistics services at a superior level,” says Kay Schiebur, Otto Group Executive Board Member for Services.
Prior to the creation of the SupplyX brand, Hermes International initially operated under the umbrella of Hermes Germany. As a logical step within the growth strategy, the service provider was now established as an independent company and operates under the name Otto Group Logistics GmbH. The company is managed by Henning Goldmann and Eva Witte.
