Making supply chains more dynamic has long been a priority for us at the Otto Group. But whether it was peaks in demand or volatile markets, there was no tool available to respond quickly enough. Scoretex optimizes with SupplyX

Marco Hoffmeyer, CEO of Scoretex GmbH, particularly values SupplyX for its direct impact on contribution margins and profit margins. The AHEAD. By SupplyX solution addresses several of his previous pain points at once:

We now have fixed long-term freight costs for agreed-upon shipping volumes. This reduces the volatility of our costs. And we once again have a more reliable annual plan!

Until now, we have been facing high costs due to individual orders! With SupplyX, these freight costs are going down. That is because we are now tapping into SupplyX's large sourcing volumes and benefiting from their lower freight rates.

With FOB prices, we were paying for many of the suppliers' additional services. SupplyX now covers these services. We were able to successfully renegotiate with our suppliers and switch to the more favorable ex-works prices.

Until now, more than half of all deliveries were, on average, 30 days late. With SupplyX, our deliveries arrive much more predictably – a particularly powerful feature of SupplyX. And it is a capability that, in my opinion, did not exist on the market before and significantly reduces lost sales.

Our infrastructure was only partially digitized. As a result, we at Scoretex were unable to achieve transparency in our supply chain. Now we are leveraging SupplyX’s resources – and gaining complete visibility as a result. Plus, we no longer have to intervene until the goods arrive at our facility.

SupplyX provides us with progress monitoring of our suppliers even during production. SupplyX structures the data for us and shares it with our inventory management system. This enables us to make early delivery forecasts.

Until now, we have been limited by our reliance on routes, ships, and containers. With SupplyX, we have gained new freedom in sourcing because the logistics company, with its large sourcing volumes, has many more options for consolidating shipments.

At Scoretex, product management and procurement – including supply chain management – used to be handled by a single person. We have separated these functions to reduce complexity. For supply chain management, we did not want to further expand our internal structures and wanted to convert fixed costs into transaction-based variable costs. We have achieved both of these goals with SupplyX.

With AHEAD. By SupplyX, the SupplyX team takes responsibility for the entire supply chain. This relieves us at Scoretex of many tasks. As a result, we can now focus on upstream process development and supplier management.

Like many small and medium-sized businesses, we had neither the manpower nor the budget to constantly invest in new IT solutions and infrastructure. With AHEAD.
