Mastering Complexity, Shaping the Future: SupplyX at the BTE Digital Day 2026
The BTE Digital Day 2026 once again demonstrated how strongly retail is moving in the tension between digitalization, cost pressure, and rising customer expectations. SupplyX addressed this tension in a presentation and introduced new approaches for managing complex supply chains.
At the BTE Digital Day 2026, SupplyX presented its perspective on the future of modern supply chains, thereby setting a clear impulse within the diverse program. The digital event brought together numerous solution providers and retail companies to compactly and practically illuminate current developments around digitalization, efficiency enhancement, and new technologies. In compact sessions, the speakers informed about innovative solutions – from AI-supported inventory management to omnichannel strategies to logistics and ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning).
In this context, Jörn von der Fecht, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at SupplyX, set a concise thematic focus with his session “Why Growing Supply Chains Need a Rethought Supply Chain Management”: While many solutions optimize along individual process steps, the real challenge increasingly lies in the holistic management of complex logistics networks.
Holistic Management as the Key to Stable Supply Chains
The presentation made it clear that supply chains today are not only more global and multifaceted but also significantly more dynamic. Classic management approaches are reaching their limits, as they often rely on outdated systems. The consequences are a lack of transparency, delayed responsiveness, and increasing cost pressure.
This is exactly where AHEAD. By SupplyX comes in. Instead of improving individual logistics services, the solution aims to coordinate the supply chain as an integrated system. SupplyX takes responsibility for the entire supply chain – from production to the point of sale – and relieves companies operationally, allowing them to focus more on their core business and strategic issues. The focus at AHEAD. By SupplyX is:
- End-to-End Transparency across all relevant processes and partners
- Centralized Management instead of distributed island solutions and data silos
- Data-driven Decisions in Real Time to respond more quickly to changes
This transforms the supply chain from an operational obligation into an active, strategic instrument. Companies can thus deliberately manage complexity and flexibly adapt their processes to new market requirements.
In the presentation, Jörn von der Fecht also showed that the future of logistics does not lie in further individual solutions. Rather, an intelligently structured supply chain is the decisive lever for resilience and sustainable growth in retail.
