SupplyX Strengthens European Presence: Robert Klukowski Takes Over Leadership of the New Branch in Gdynia (Poland)
Hamburg, October 1: SupplyX, a specialist in digital supply chain management and international logistics solutions, is consistently continuing its internationalization strategy and appoints Robert Klukowski as Managing Director of the newly established branch in Poland. The experienced logistics expert will drive the development of a strategic hub for Central and Northern Europe from Gdynia, making optimal use of the multimodal connections of the important Baltic Sea port.
With the new branch in Gdynia, SupplyX is deliberately positioning itself at one of Europe's most dynamic logistics hubs. While Gdynia excels as an office and competence location, the nearby port of Gdansk is decisive for overseas traffic. It is one of the fastest-growing container ports in the region, is served by all major shipping lines, and is increasingly developing into an international hub with new liner services. Its integration into the TEN-T network underscores the central importance of the location within Europe. At the same time, the Tri-City region (Gdansk – Sopot – Gdynia) with more than 1.5 million inhabitants offers excellent infrastructure and a qualified talent pool. The integrated focus on road, rail, and port enables flexible distribution within Poland and to neighboring countries.
"Poland is one of the fastest-growing logistics markets within the EU and offers ideal synergies with our existing structures," says Moritz Gborglah, Chief Operations Officer at SupplyX GmbH. "Gdynia's favorable geographical location ensures shorter transport routes to Northern Europe, the Baltic states, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe, better access to seaports, and greater flexibility in the face of supply chain risks. Furthermore, the Polish domestic market, with its large and dynamically growing consumer base closely connected to German retail, opens up ideal conditions for a combined logistics and distribution business."
Industry Expert with Many Years of Experience in Poland
To make optimal use of these growth opportunities, SupplyX is relying on local expertise with Robert Klukowski. The Polish-born expert brings comprehensive expertise from more than two decades in the logistics industry, closely connected to the Tri-City region. His career led him through responsible positions at Schenker, where he built deep know-how in the area of Ocean Freight Poland as part of the management team, and GEODIS, where he was responsible for sea and air freight, personnel management, and ferry services. Most recently, he successfully established Greencarrier on the Polish market, building structures, processes, and teams from scratch. He now brings this experience in establishing new market presences specifically to his role as Managing Director Poland at SupplyX.
"The people and the way of working together at SupplyX convinced me immediately," explains Robert Klukowski about his decision to take on the new position. "The clear vision and long-term strategy, combined with the use of state-of-the-art digital technologies and a genuine commitment to sustainability, make SupplyX a progressive logistics company that achieves ambitious goals. We are talking about logistics with passion, always with the clear goal of offering customers the best possible added value."
Building a Resilient European Network
With its own locations in Germany, Vietnam, and now Poland, SupplyX achieves broad geographical coverage that enables optimal integration into international supply chains. This decentralization significantly strengthens resilience against disruptions as well as geopolitical and customs-related risks. Gdynia is also intended to serve as a European connection point for Asia traffic. In particular, the synergies from the key sourcing countries – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, and Vietnam – will be integrated into the Polish operations. The Silk Road connection shortens transport times and reduces costs between Asia and Europe, while established trade routes ensure reliable service for the European market.
"With SupplyX, we are now seizing the right moment to open up the Polish market and contribute our services," says Klukowski. "In the short term, we are focusing on process optimization, building a strong operational base, and attracting local talent. In the long term, we are positioning Poland as a key location for Central and Northern Europe in order to grow internationally. I look forward to establishing the SupplyX brand in Poland together with a strong team and offering customers first-class logistics solutions."
