Alibaba

Alibaba or the Alibaba Group is one of the most important e-commerce companies worldwide. Originally based in China, the Alibaba Group and its marketplaces have now established themselves globally as a significant e-commerce player.

Alibaba includes various marketplaces: Among them are Alibaba.com for B2B trade, AliExpress for B2C trade, and Tmall.com with the affiliated marketplace Alibaba Tmall Global, as an online department store. Tmall Global serves as a platform for many international merchants to enter the Chinese market. On the cross-border marketplace, international brands and merchants can sell their products directly to Chinese end customers.

Alibaba also offers additional services with its payment system Alipay and the logistics network Cainiao, positioning itself, however, as a pure platform, without dropshipping offers for international merchants.
