Deep Learning

Deep Learning is a sub-discipline of artificial intelligence (AI), more specifically from the field of machine learning.

The basis of deep learning is so-called neural networks, which are modeled after the human brain. The neural networks enable artificial learning by being continuously interconnected with each other during the learning process.

Unlike machine learning, in deep learning, humans do not intervene in the learning process. Humans only provide the system with all necessary information and ensure that the processes are documented. The analysis, the derivation of decisions, or forecasts is carried out by the system independently and unaffected by humans. As a result, humans have no influence on the outcomes, nor is the decision-making process comprehensible. The system is subject to constant self-optimization, as decisions made are continuously questioned and the underlying patterns of the decisions may be adjusted accordingly.
