The Singles Day, also called 11/11 or Double 11, is the highest-grossing day in the world. Originally celebrated as Bachelor Day in China, November 11 has now evolved into an Asian e-commerce event of superlatives, which has gained significance beyond Chinese borders in recent years.

Initiated by the e-commerce giant Alibaba, numerous online retailers worldwide now celebrate 11/11 with substantial discounts and special promotions.
