Supply Chain Management
Successful Supply Chain Management (SCM) optimizes and connects cross-company material and information flows of the entire value creation process. Close collaboration and a continuous exchange of information through a cross-company information architecture such as SCM software or ERP systems are essential prerequisites.
The goal of SCM is to align the entire value creation process with the demand of the consumer or customer. From demand-driven production to the adapted supply chain: Efficiently coordinated and interconnected, costs can be minimized and processes made transparent.
To achieve this, all information relevant to the value creation process must be managed, and smooth planning and control must be realized. SCM requires access to all data related to order processes and supplier orders, etc. It should be integrated into all procurement and production processes and additionally have access to payment and financing plans.
