Trans-European Network

The Trans-European Network (TEN) was established in the Treaty of Rome in 1957 and is intended to provide the necessary infrastructure for the four fundamental freedoms described therein – the free movement of persons, goods, and services, as well as the free movement of capital and payments. Today, the Trans-European Network includes a vast European transport, energy, and telecommunications network.
